"I Am CrossFit", inspired by CrossFit Central, is the beginner program all new clients must attend. It's purpose is to teach you the elements that you will need in order to do well in the CrossFit Program .
The cost of this program is very inexpensive and it is required to attend for three months. The purpose is to build a great foundation to reach higher fitness goals. After three months you will be able to test with a CrossFit Uvalde Coach to determine if you are ready for a more varied fitness program.
The program will introduce you to the nine foundational movements of CrossFit which are :
1. Squat
2. Front Squat
3. Overhead Squat
4. Press
5. Push Press
6. Push Jerk
7. Deadlift
8. Sumo Deadlift Highpull
9. Medicine Ball Clean
Not only will you get a great foundation in these elements but you will also get to learn and incorporate other exercises as well, such as:
Pullup variations
Core Stability Drills
Medicine Ball Drills
Basic Gymnastic Drills and Skills, such as pushups, situps, and L-sits progression.
These workouts are done at a beginner level allowing you to improve your fitness slowly over a period of three months. Each class will have a warm-up, skill session, and a CrossFit style WOD (workout of the Day).
The program is $50/month with a three month minimum comittment. The three months must be pre-payed before the first day of class.
The class schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 6 pm. Class is limited to 20 people and begins on August 3, 2009.
